This presentation explores practical ways tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini can help with searching, interpreting difficult handwriting, summarizing records, and organizing research. Attendees will also learn how to write effective prompts, recognize AI “hallucinations,” and verify results before incorporating them into their family history.

Susan M. O’Connor is President of the Massachusetts Genealogical Council and Treasurer of the New England Association of Professional Genealogists. She has researched family history in Ireland, Australia, the United States, and French Canada for more than 25 years and holds a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University.
