Diane MacLean Boumenot, CG, is an award-winning genealogist and former editor of Rhode Island Roots, the journal of the Rhode Island Genealogical Society. She received the National Genealogical Society’s Lou D. Szucs Distinguished Service Award in 2023, as well as the Robert M. Sherman Award. Diane serves on the Board for Certification of Genealogists Education Fund and is a past president of the New England Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Her research focuses on New England, Nova Scotia, and England, and she holds a B.A. in History and English from Wesleyan University.
